Public Art in Tenterfield

Public art plays a vital role in enlivening public spaces, creating civic pride and attracting cultural tourists. Tenterfield Shire Council recognises the significance of Public Art within the Shire.

The Public Art Policy  was developed to provide a framework for planning and decision making in relation to public art. 

Tenterfield Shire Council has a Public Art Committee - Section 355 Committee that meets bimonthly. The Public Art Committee provides advice to Council on the management and promotion of public art within the Tenterfield Local Government area.  The Public Art Committee's - Terms of Reference.

Individuals and businesses can make donations to contribute to public art in Tenterfield Shire. Donations can be a piece of art or sponsorship for a public art project. Contact the Public Art Committee if you are interested in making a public art donation.
