Basket Swamp National Park is an undeveloped woodland park that adjoins Boonoo Boonoo State Forest which has picnic and bush camping facilities.
Basket Swamp National Park is a water logged 200 hectares of heaths and sedges, which is very important to people and wildlife as it cleans, stores and slowly releases water throughout the year into local creeks, and eventually the coastal Clarence River system.
The Park includes Timbarra Lookout and gives access to nearby Basket Swamp Falls and the Woollool Woolloolni Aboriginal area.
