Due to the delay in the Local Government Elections, yet again due to Covid-19, Tenterfield Shire Council is pleased to advise that Deputy-Mayor, Cr Greg Sauer was re-elected, unopposed, at Council’s Ordinary Meeting held Wednesday, 22 September 2021 for the remaining period of term.
Mayor Petty (the Mayor’s term is two years) and Deputy-Mayor Sauer (the Deputy-Mayor term is one year) will both now remain in their positions until the Local Government Elections are held on Saturday, 4 December 2021.
Nominations for the positions of Councillors in Tenterfield’s five wards close on Wednesday, 3 November at noon.
