COVID 19

Council has implemented strict protocols to ensure we comply with directions issued by government in relation to managing the COVID 19 risk. These protocols apply to our staff, our customers and visitors to our premises, and councillors alike. Some non-essential services have ceased altogether, others are still in operation but due to social distancing have added levels of complexity. Please be understanding that we will do our best to maintain services and help in what are unique and challenging circumstances.

ONLINE SERVICE PROVISION FOR SAFETY OF CUSTOMERS AND STAFF

Local Land Services is taking important steps in reducing the spread of COVID-19, for the safety of customers and employees.

Offices of Local Land Services are now open by appointment only and all contact should be done online or via telephone.

New systems have been established to ensure customer enquiries are attended to by the right people in a timely manner.

Local Land Services will continue to provide essential on-ground services, such as biosecurity and emergency management where safe and practical.

The best way to contact Local Land Services during this period is by sending an enquiry online via www.lls.nsw.gov.au or by calling 1300 795 299.

“While in most instances, this means staff and customers will not have face to face contact, Local Land Services is still here to help in these challenging times,” said Chief Executive Officer, David Witherdin.

LANDHOLDERS URGED TO ENROL NOW FOR IMPORTANT POLL: YOUR VOICE, YOUR VOTE

Rural landholders in NSW are being urged to have their say on the direction of Local Land Services.

With drought, fires and floods having a major impact on regional NSW, it is crucial we continue to have strong leadership.

Voting is starting soon for election of 34 Local Land Services board members around the state.

Anyone who is a Local Land Services ratepayer aged over 18 can have their say, but they need to get a voting pack now as time is running out.

It is a priority for ratepayers to tell Local land Services how they would like to receive their voting pack – by post or online.

To register:
• go to the home page of the Local Land Services website

and click on ‘board elections’ and choose postal or online voting pack, or
• call 1300 795 299 to register for a postal pack – the deadline for postal packs is 5pm Monday 30th March
Voting opens on April 9 and election results will be announced in June.
