Tenterfield Shire Council is committed to business growth, economic development and sustainable business practices. The economic development team recognises the importance of partnerships with local and regional businesses, organisations and government agencies.
Tourism is a key economic driver within our region, and has been recognised as a vital strategy for future growth. Our focus is on sustainable tourism growth and development, and our team works closely with local businesses, neighbouring councils, regional and state tourism organisations, and government agencies.
Community development is an integral part of the overall wellbeing of our Shire. Tenterfield Shire Council is committed to actively connecting and engaging with our communities across the Shire.

- Tourism brand: Tenterfield True. We encourage business owners to use our Tenterfield True logo and branding on their websites and in printed material. Our brand and style guidelines have been created to help you understand where and how to use our logo, typeface and colour palette.

Community Profile
The Tenterfield Shire Council Community Profile provides demographic analysis for the region. Results include population, age structure, ethnicity, ancestry, religion, income, qualifications, occupations, employment, unemployment, disability, disadvantage, volunteering, childcare, family structure, household structure, housing tenure, mortgage and rental payments, and the size and type of the dwellings people live in.
