Tenterfield town’s Water Restrictions Level will increase to 4.7 from Friday, 1 November 2019.
“Council held an Extraordinary Council Meeting on Thursday, 17 October 2019 and voted to amend the Drought Management Plan and impose the new level 4.7 to ensure the viability of our businesses in town, particularly some nurseries”, said Mayor Peter Petty.
The new Level 4.7 Restrictions:
- Ban the use of automatic stock troughs from mains water; and
- Ban the use of hand held watering with garden hoses.
Residents who have stock in town should now be utilising the free stock water available from the Apex Park bore on the southern end of town. Council’s Rangers will be visiting all residents with livestock in the town area and will be available to provide advice and assistance as required.
