  • Excellence in Tourism
  • Excellence in Innovation
  • Excellence in Sustainability
  • Disability, Inclusion & Access Award

Businesses can nominate themselves, an apprentice or trainee, or an employee.  Nominations close midnight, 17 November 2019.

Mayor Peter Petty is encouraging the local business community to get on board and nominate, as well as save the date for what is sure to be a welcome celebratory event.

“These awards are a great opportunity for us to not only recognise the contribution our local business and tourism industry makes to the region, but to come together and celebrate their journey and successes,” Mayor Petty said.

“There are benefits for all involved and I encourage all businesses in the Shire to nominate their business or staff members for an award.

“The nomination process sees businesses reflect on their business practices and performance and the awards presentation offers the opportunity to network with industry contacts and event sponsors”.

The award recipients will be announced at the ‘Bugger the Drought Gala Dinner’ from 6pm on Thursday, 28 November at the Sir Henry Parkes Memorial School of Arts (tickets on sale soon).

Those in attendance on the night will be in the presence of guest speaker, Lauren Bath - Australia’s first professional Instagrammer. Lauren is a pioneer of the Australian influencer industry with a dedicated audience of close to half a million followers. As well as sharing her inspirational journey with the audience on the night of the awards, Lauren will also extend her stay in Tenterfield to host a Business Instagram Workshop the following morning. Further details on how to register for this workshop will be announced soon.
