To ensure the safe keeping of Tenterfield Shire Council’s rates books, a decision was made to transfer the records to the Regional Access Centre in Armidale where they are now held in a climate controlled environment.

Council’s increases to fees and charges are to aid in ensuring the community can continue to deal with the Shire’s waste in a sustainable way. Sustainability of Council’s waste requires balancing the operations to be cost neutral for the community.
In accordance with Section 115 of the Roads Act 1993, notice is hereby given by Tenterfield Shire Council as the Roads Authority that changed traffic conditions will apply to Amosfield Road, Amosfield located approximately 7km east of the NSW/QLD Border, commencing Monday 3 June 2019 for a period of up to 4 weeks, weather permitting.

As the drought conditions continue to strike, with history indicating little rain is likely over winter, Council is busy developing contingency plans.
Notice is given that Council will commence the removal of fallen leaves from trees in the streets of Tenterfield from 1 May 2019. Leaf pick up will be on Wednesday and Thursday of each week until mid-June 2019.
