Council has implemented strict protocols to ensure we comply with directions issued by government in relation to managing the COVID 19 risk. These protocols apply to our staff, our customers and visitors to our premises, and councillors alike. Some non-essential services have ceased altogether, others are still in operation but due to social distancing have added levels of complexity. Please be understanding that we will do our best to maintain services and help in what are unique and challenging circumstances.
In accordance with Section 115 of the Roads Act 1993, notice is hereby given by Tenterfield Shire Council as the Roads Authority that changed traffic conditions will apply to Amosfield Road, between the Mount Lindesay Road and NSW/QLD Border.
It is anticipated that the works will commence mid May 2020 and will take up to 4 months to complete, weather permitting. Works will be undertaken between the hours of 6.30am and 6pm and may involve weekends.
The works will involve Council and its contractors utilising plant and machinery for the duration of the works including road widening and rehabilitation.
Motorists and pedestrians may experience delays of up to 15 minutes and are requested to pay particular attention to the advance warning signposting and directions of on-site traffic controllers.
All enquiries concerning the road works can be directed to Council on (02) 6736 6001.
