Council has implemented strict protocols to ensure we comply with directions issued by government in relation to managing the COVID 19 risk. These protocols apply to our staff, our customers and visitors to our premises, and councillors alike. Please be understanding that we will do our best to maintain services and help in what are unique and challenging circumstances.
Tenterfield Library will be opened for 2 x 2 hour sessions per day for members to renew/exchange books or access the public computers. This allows staff to clean equipment, etc to ensure the safety of all.
Times are 10.00 am to 12 noon and 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm – Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 11.30am on Saturday. It is essential that you contact Library staff on 6736 6060 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to book computer time. High risk residents wishing to use the Library can do so between 9.00 am – 10.00 am, Monday to Friday by appointment only.
Urbenville Library will reopen on Wednesday 3 June and Torrington Library will reopen Friday 5 June 2020.

Home Library Service
The Library offers a free weekly or fortnightly home delivery service on a medical recommendation to frail/aged persons living within the Tenterfield Township. Tenterfield Family and Local history resources
The Library maintains the Tenterfield Family History Group’s collection of resources for public use. The Tenterfield Family History Group holds meetings/workshops at 1.30 pm on the second Tuesday of the month and members of the public are welcome to attend. The Group will also assist with research.
Find Legal Answers at Your Library
Tenterfield Library stocks the ‘Find Legal Answers Tool Kit’ as part of its reference collection, along with brochures and other information about the legal system.
This can also be accessed online through the ‘Find legal answers tool kit’ website (http://www.legalanswers.sl.nsw.gov.au/) which includes links to electronic versions of the brochures held in the library, information for HSC Legal Studies students, legal research and a legal advice guide.
