Off Leash area’s in Tenterfield are located at:

  • Hockey Field Park, Corner of Landers Lane and Martin Street
  • Apex park, 8968 New England Highway South

In all areas of the Tenterfield Shire, dogs are to be kept on leads when in a public place. There are certain areas that dogs are prohibited at all times.

  • Schools;
  • Within 10m of Children play areas;
  • Public Swimming Pools;
  • Within 10m of Areas where food is served or prepared; and
  • Observe the prohibition signs that are displayed throughout the shires parks.

When in a public place, the person in charge of the animal/s is responsible for the removal of faeces.

Dogs Waste Enviro Bag Dispensers if needed, can be found along the walking/bike track at:

  • one (1) at Hockey Field Park, Corner of Landers Lane and Martin Street;
  • one (1) at Jubilee Park, 94 to 122 Manners Street;
  • one (1) at Rotary Park, Rouse Street and Naas Street.
