Conditions of Use

  • While Council has endeavoured to make use of the best information currently available to it, it is noted that some of the information required to provide an estimate is sourced from third parties and is beyond Council's control.
  • Amounts on individual property values following 2022 re-valuations by the NSW Valuer-General (Effective 1 July 2023).
  • The calculation incorporates the Special Rate Variation approved by IPART of 43% (including the rate peg of 4.2%) for 2023/2024.
  • The calculator cannot provide an estimate where the property is assessed as having more than one rating category (such as mixed development for business and residential). Owners of mixed-use properties will need to contact Council's Revenue Team on (02) 6736 6000, option 2 for an estimate.
  • The calculator does not consider your eligibility for pensioner rebate, please refer to your individual rate notice for pensioner rebate amount. For more information contact Council's Revenue Team on (02) 6736 6000, option 2.
  • I understand that the rates calculation is based on my land valuation only and does not include water, sewer, waste charges or any other charges related to your property.

Pensioners Information

Council will determine your eligibility to receive a rebate of up to $250 on your rates account. You may also be eligible to receive up to $87.50 on your annual water charges and up to $87.50 off your annual sewerage charges, if council provides these services. Alternatively, if council does not provide these services, contact your water/sewer service provider for more information.

Eligibility:

  • Holders of the PCC (Pensioner Concession Card)
  • Holders of a gold card embossed with ‘TPI’ (Totally Permanently Incapacitated)
  • Holders of a gold card embossed with ‘EDA’ (Extreme Disablement Adjustment)
  • War widow or widower or wholly dependent partner entitled to the Pensioner Concession Card*.

* If you are a war widow or widower or wholly dependent partner but do not have a Pensioner Concession Card, you should contact the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) to test your eligibility for the DVA income support supplement. Eligibility is subject to an income and assets test.
