Notice of change of venue for pre-polling and voting activities in the Tenterfield Local Government Election.
As of Tuesday, 23rd November 2021, pre-polling and voting for the upcoming Local Government Election has been relocated to the Timbarra Room at the Council Administration Building, 247 Rouse St, Tenterfield NSW 2372.
This change of location will be in effect until the conclusion of the Local Government Elections on December 4th 2021.
Tenterfield Shire Council’s election will be administered by the NSW Electoral Commission and voting will be held on Saturday 4 December.
Local Government elections in New South Wales are usually held every four years. However, the elections planned for 2020 were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tenterfield Shire comprises five (5) Wards, these being A, B, C, D & E Wards. Two councillors are elected per Ward. View Shire Ward Maps Here

Council is not the contact for NSW Local Government elections, it is the NSW Electoral Commission.
Who is the Returning Officer?
The Returning Officer will be appointed to conduct the Tenterfield Shire Council local government election as the election draws closer. Contact details will be provided on Council’s website once available.
