Council has implemented strict protocols to ensure we comply with directions issued by government in relation to managing the COVID 19 risk. These protocols apply to our staff, our customers and visitors to our premises, and councillors alike. Some non-essential services have ceased altogether, others are still in operation but due to social distancing have added levels of complexity. Please be understanding that we will do our best to maintain services and help in what are unique and challenging circumstances.

Ongoing works to upgrade the above sections of Mt Lindesay between Legume and Woodenbong.  Motorists advised to obey signage along the route.

Mt Lindesay Road is a vital connector from the Southern Darling Downs to the Northern Rivers of NSW and improved safety and transport efficiency was the focus of the upgrade of the road, with works occurring between Legume and Woodenbong.

Stages One and Two of the $24 million project have been completed.

Work on Stages Three, Four and Five are commencing with preliminary construction survey works underway. Drainage pipes are being delivered to site for culvert replacements and extensions where necessary. It is envisaged that site works will commence during May / June 2020.

Mt Lindesay Project
