Killarney Road Culvert Repairs - Replacement of Stormwater and Headwalls
Council advises that Killarney Road, approximately 900 metres north of Legume, will be reduced to one lane from Tuesday, 6 October 2026, to allow essential culvert repairs.
The works involve replacing the existing damaged stormwater pipe and headwalls with new infrastructure.
A half-road construction methodology will be used. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane while the first half of the culvert is excavated and replaced. Traffic will then be switched to the completed section while works are undertaken on the second half.
Works are expected to commence Tuesday, 6 October 2026, and take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Traffic impacts
- Killarney Road will be reduced to one lane at the work site.
- Local access to properties will be maintained for residents.
- Road users should allow additional travel time and follow all temporary traffic controls and directions at the work site.
