Effective communication provides a strong foundation upon which Councils can more effectively develop and maintain the community’s assets. If aligned with Council’s operating goals and plans, effective communication can increase the speed at which we achieve these goals.
This Communications Plan focuses on strengthening how Council communicates and engages with the community in an open and transparent way. By improving the clarity, consistency and accessibility of our information, Council aims to ensure residents, businesses and stakeholders are better informed about decisions, projects and services that affect them. Strengthening two-way communication will help build trust, encourage community participation and ensure community voices are heard as Council works to deliver positive outcomes for the region.
The Communications Plan 2026-2029 was adopted by Council on 25 February 2026.
