Council has implemented strict protocols to ensure we comply with directions issued by government in relation to managing the COVID 19 risk. These protocols apply to our staff, our customers and visitors to our premises, and councillors alike. Some non-essential services have ceased altogether, others are still in operation but due to social distancing have added levels of complexity. Please be understanding that we will do our best to maintain services and help in what are unique and challenging circumstances.
Tenterfield Shire Council manages the Tenterfield township drinking water supply system. The Tenterfield Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is a conventional plant located next to the Tenterfield Dam, on Scrub Rd, Tenterfield. The Tenterfield WTP treats water from the Tenterfield Dam and the Shirley Park Bore (during times of drought) and distributes it through a network of reticulation to consumers.
