21 Organisations to benefit from Community Contributions 2023/2024
Following the adoption of the 2023/2024 Operational Plan, Council is pleased to advise that some 21 organisations and schools are about to receive an injection of funds prior to the end of the 2023.
Mayor Bronwyn Petrie said that “This year Council resolved to reduce the budgeted amount to $10,000. This is a reduction on past allocations, although still allowing a total of 21 organisations and schools to benefit.”
“Councillors are part of the community and have been needing to make some difficult decisions. However, we are pleased to be able to continue supporting our Schools, Progress Associations and Hall Committees, Mayor Petrie explained.”
“Urbenville Community” are among the groups who will be receiving funding through Council’s Community Contributions, this is to assist with the registration costs of the local town transport bus.
Other groups and schools are scattered throughout the Shire, ensuring a balanced disbursement of the available funds.
Council will not be advertising for submissions this year due to austerity measures.
