Resignation of Tenterfield Shire Councillor Giana Saccon
Councillor Giana Saccon has resigned from Tenterfield Shire Council, effective 15 March 2023.
Councillor Saccon was elected as one of two representatives of D Ward, Tenterfield in December 2021 the other representative is Councillor Kim Rhodes.
“On behalf of my fellow Councillors, we acknowledge the contribution of the outgoing Councillor. Her work and advocacy whilst on Council resulted in diverse discussions on topics raised throughout her tenure. We wish Giana all the best for the future,” Mayor Bronwyn Petrie said.
The Office of Local Government NSW have been advised of receipt of Councillor Saccon’s letter of resignation as part of Council’s process.
In accordance with the NSW Local Government Act 1993 the arising “casual vacancy” will be resolved at this month’s Ordinary Council meeting Wednesday 22 March 2023.
