The NSW Rural Fire Service has declared a Total Fire Ban for Friday 27 March 2026.
A Total Fire Ban is declared on days when weather conditions are expected to be dangerous, with a heightened risk of fires starting and spreading rapidly.
During a Total Fire Ban:
- All fire permits are suspended
- Lighting of fires in the open is prohibited
- Solid fuel barbecues (wood or charcoal) are not permitted
- Activities likely to generate sparks, such as welding or grinding, should be avoided
Residents and visitors are urged to take care and remain vigilant.
Council encourages the community to:
- Stay informed on local conditions
- Review and update bushfire survival plans
- Report any fire immediately by calling Triple Zero (000)
