Castlerag Road Causeway Repairs and Temporary Load Limit
Council advises that repair works will be undertaken on the causeway located on Castlerag Road, in accordance with Section 115 of the Roads Act 1993.
Temporary 5 Tonne Load Limit
A temporary 5 tonne load limit has been implemented at the causeway, located approximately 1.58 kilometres from the New England Highway.
The restriction has been introduced following the identification of damage requiring immediate repair.
Repair Works
Council will commence rectification works as soon as possible.
The temporary load limit is expected to remain in place for up to two months, subject to weather conditions and construction progress.
Traffic Conditions
Motorists are advised that:
- Static signage advising of the 5 tonne load limit has been installed.
- Warning signage will be in place to encourage reduced speeds when approaching the causeway.
- Current traffic conditions and restrictions will also be published on MyRoadInfo.
